  • Brown & Lawrence Lead ROCKSTAR/Suzuki Charge Into Washougal

Both look to rebound from tough outing at Lakewood (Colo.) this past weekend

CORONA, Calif., (July 24, 2006) – ROCKSTAR/Suzuki’s Jason Lawrence returns to Washougal MX Park (Washougal, Wash.) this weekend, site of a top ten (9th) overall finish last year and, hopefully, a shot at redemption following a tough week for the team at Lakewood.

“We had some issues that we’re working on this week to put behind us,” said Lawrence. “Nobody’s pointing a finger of blame. It’s just something that we have to come together as a team on and figure out the solution.”

Lawrence, who’s spending the week in southern California testing with Suzuki, likes his chances at Washougal.

“That track’s killer,” he said. “I had a riot racing there last year and plan on coming back and tearing into it again this weekend. Big crowd, lots of places to pass. It’s going to be a fun weekend.”

Lawrence’s ROCKSTAR/Suzuki teammate Mike Brown was able to figure things out in the second AMA Motocross class moto this past weekend in Colorado, racing home to a 9th place finish after a first moto DNF. He, like Lawrence, is looking forward to Washougal.

“I won my first ever AMA National at Washougal back in 1995, so the place has special meaning for me,” said Brown, who also won there in 2001. “It’ll be a good place for all of us to re-group and get back on track with some solid results.”

ROCKSTAR/Suzuki athletes – led by Lawrence, Brown, Sean Hamblin and Ryan Mills - return to action for Round Eight of the 2006 Toyota AMA Motocross Championship at Washougal MX Park in Washougal, Wash. (July 30th).

Team ROCKSTAR/Suzuki would like to thank its sponsors:  Bill’s Pipes, Alloy, Moto Metal Custom Wheels, Dunlop, Renthal, Renthal Chain Wheels, Torco, K&N Filters, One Industries, 661, Sunline/ARC, RG3, Moto-Master, Hinson, UFO Plastics, Quiksilver, AC Racing, PPG.

Developed by innovative health and nutrition specialists and featuring a multitude of wellness ingredients found ‘round the world, ROCKSTAR Energy Drink is available in both ROCKSTAR Original and ROCKSTAR Diet and can be found at convenience and grocery stores across this great nation.
