  • Ryan Dungey Extends Contract with Answer Racing through 2008

Corona, CA—16-year-old Ryan Dungey, who recently signed on to ride for Factory Makita Suzuki in the lites division, extended his agreement to ride in Answer Racing apparel for the next two seasons. Ryan and his brothers Blake and Jade hail from a small town in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, and have been with Answer Racing brand for the last two years. Under the watchful eye of Amateur racing coordinator Kristen Young, Ryan Dungey has not only shown signs of greatness, Young says, “He is one of the nicest kids at the track. “Ryan has an unbelievable work ethic, he is one of the most focused 16 year old kids I have ever worked with,” said Young. “I could not be more proud to bring a rider from our amateur program into our pro program. I know he will represent our brand well,” she added.

Dungey has done a lot in the last two years as an amateur rider. Some of Ryan’s accomplishments include:

2006-
World Mini Las Vegas- 250 stock Int Champion
   450 4-stroke non-pro Champion

Oak Hill GNC-  250 Int stock Champion
   250 4-stroke non-pro mod Champion

Lake Whitney, TX- 250 B stock- Champion

2005-
Loretta Lynn’s-  125 mod 12-15 (School boy) Champion

Mini O's FL-  250 B stock Supercross Champion

World Mini Las Vegas- 125 2-stroke non-pro Champion
   125 Stock Int.- Champion

Oak Hill GNC-  250F 4 stroke 12-15 mod Champion

Lake Whitney TX- 125cc B stock Champion

Branson MO-  450 4-stroke non-pro Champion

“It means a lot to bring a rider from amateur into professional racing and have him represent your brand first class all the way.” said Answer Racing’s Marketing Manger Erick “Big E” Bartoldus. “Ryan will accomplish what he sets out to do, that is the kind of athlete he is,” added Bartoldus.

Ryan will compete in the last four races of the AMA Toyota Motocross Nationals, his first being Millville Minnesota’s Spring Creek MX track. Ryan could not have hand picked a better track for his debut as a pro. As it turns out, Millville is Ryan’s home track. “I could not be more proud to represent district 23. However things turn out for me there, I just want to use each race as a learning tool to get to where I ultimately want to be.” said Dungey.

Look for number 142 on the yellow Makita Suzuki on August 13th!
