James Stewart Returns at Red Bud
Irvine, Calif. (June 28, 2006) – Kawasaki Racing Team rider, James
Stewart, plans to return to the AMA Motocross Championship series on
July 2, at Red Bud Track-N-Trail near Buchanan, Mich. Stewart was
forced to sit out the last round at Budds Creek, Md., to allow enough
time to recover from a deep bone bruise in his left knee which he
sustained from a crash during round two of the AMA Motocross
Championship at High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pa.
“I am looking forward to racing at Red Bud,” said Stewart. “I hope that
we can give the fans an exciting Fourth of July weekend in the
Motocross class.”
Prior to his crash at High Point Raceway, Stewart went 1-2 during the
season opener at Hangtown MX Park near Sacramento, Calif., for his
first Motocross overall victory on a KX™450F. Only a couple weeks
following the High Point crash, Stewart thrilled all in attendance at
Motocross 338 in Southwick, Mass., by winning the first moto while
riding in pain due to his knee injury. Stewart also managed to salvage
fourth overall for the day, with an 11th place finish in the second
moto.
