The backflip claims another one
Reigning X Games Big Air gold medalist Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg
suffered a gargantuan get-off at the Dew Action Sports Tour this
weekend. While performing a plethora of huge backflip variations, in an
otherwise textbook run, Jeremy went for a superman seat-grab backflip
on a very tricky and very tall “spine”-style jump. Apparently, Jeremy
misjudged his takeoff speed or simply got too much traction as he began
to enter the first stage of the rotation, because he abandoned ship
midway through the trick at peak height. Jeremy hit the ground and
suffered a compound fracture of his left leg.
Stenberg remains in good spirits and is still determined to ride and
win at the X Games this summer. You can see the horrific crash and read
