Mechanix Wear® Recognizes Supercross Season Wins
Valencia, CA - Mechanix Wear®, creator of the first high performance work glove designed specifically for mechanics presented Team Makita Suzuki mechanic Mike Gosselaar as well as Team Kawasaki mechanic Jeremy Albrecht with special pit boards designed for the AMA and Amp’d Mobile World Supercross championship winners at the final round of the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday May 6th.
Team Makita Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael came out on top to win a historic AMA Supercross series battle that saw just two points separating him from rival James Stewart. Mike Gosselaar, a 13-year veteran has been with Carmichael since the 2003 season. Since then, they have accumulated three supercross championships as well as three motocross championships and one world championship.
The Kawasaki duo of James Stewart and Jeremy Albrecht placed second to Carmichael in the battle for the AMA championship, but took the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross championship with a 3 point lead. Albrecht, who joined the Kawasaki team in 1995, has been with Stewart since the beginning of his professional career. This world championship win adds to the pair’s accomplishments of two motocross and two supercross championships in the 125 class.
