Cobra Dominates 50cc Competition At Recent World Mini GP Competition In Las Vegas
Cobra Motorcycles capture 88-percent of top five 50cc finishes (22 of 25)
NORTH LIMA, Ohio, (April 20, 2006) – Cobra Motorcycles’ Blake
Green and Conner Mitchell were the big winners on the little bikes at
last week’s World Mini GPs in Las Vegas.
The King Cobra-mounted Green won the 7-8 50cc Stock class, with his
Cobra National Team teammate Mitchell winning the 7-8 50cc Modified
class (Green being second). Then in the Super Pee Wee competition it
was Green taking home the gold and Mitchell the Silver to complete an
entire sweep for Cobra of the top spots in the 7-8 50cc class.
“Both Blake and Conner rode awesome this past week, we’re really proud
of them,” said Sean Hilbert, President of Cobra Motorcycles. “Cobra had
gained some momentum heading into Vegas with our excellent overall
results from Lake Whitney and Oak Hill and Blake and Conner rode well
enough to be crowned champions at the World Minis.”
Statistically even more impressive than Cobra’s dominance of the 7-8
division 50cc classes was the company’s complete sweep of the 4-6 50cc
division. Cobra’s Sean Cantrell and Zay Solis each brought home titles
in the 4-6 Stock and Modified classes, which featured a top-five
overall sweep in both classes by Cobra bikes as well.
“Even the little guys were on it at Vegas,” said Hilbert. “A big ‘Hat’s off’ from the Cobra factory to Sean and Zay as well.”
