James Marshall Update! A Message From James to His Supporters

Hello, everyone.Today is the first day we have had a major update for James in a bit. There really hasn't been anything new day to day until last night. Some of the crew from the HelpJames.org Outlaw Ride Day visited James yesterday. He was in good spirits and smiled often during our visit, and we had the opportunity to pray with James for a speedy recovery. James is making improvements and there are some good signs that he will recover from this. Yesterday, they removed the tubes out of his mouth--which is a fantastic event. He is now completely off the ventilator and is breathing on his own. His body can now start to heal and best of all, he can now begin to speak (a very faint whisper). He still has some crucial time ahead of him as his spine is still healing from the accident and the swelling. To help that process, James currently has a Halo on (a devise that stabilizes his neck, head and spine). We asked James what he wants from the ride day and his answer was lots and lots of riding. After just getting the tubes removed from his throat he was eager to share this message with all his supporters:

I want everyone to know that I will recover from this………I want to say thank you to everyone involved in my recovery……… I am realizing more and more that I have a long road in front of me. I hope someday I may ride again but the thing that I want most is to have a family someday. If I can do that I will be happy……… Words can’t express what I am feeling right now; I am full of appreciation for the outpouring of love.

Kim Marshall has confirmed her attendance at the Ride Day on Tuesday. We are looking forward to seeing all the fans, sponsors, and pro riders coming out to support James. It will be a spectacular day indeed. Keep James in your thoughts and prayers as we will continue to update you on his progress.
