2005 AMA Regional Arenacross Champion Willoh Sets Eyes on Toyota Truck
AURORA, Ill., (Jan. 11, 2006) – 2005 AMA Regional Arenacross
champion Jeff Willoh made the decision to race this year’s Toyota AMA
Regional Arenacross Series in hopes defending his title – not only for
the prestige, but also for the chance at set of keys to a new Toyota
truck. Despite missing the first part of the season, Willoh has his
sights set high.
The GPS Racing/John Burr Honda-backed Willoh, 29, cleaned house last
weekend at the Salt Lake City round of the Toyota AMA Regional
Arenacross Series, going 1-1 in the AMA Arenacross class and 1-2 in the
AMA Lites class. His one-race effort pulled him to within 38 points of
series leader Michael Chiudioni with 11 races yet to go on the season.
“I’m returning to the Toyota AMA Regional Arenacross Series for a
couple reasons,” said Willoh. “Obviously, the truck they’re giving away
is one of them. And the other is to defend my title.”
Willoh says he’s looking to just “keep it consistent” over the next
several months of racing, culminating with the Toyota AMA Regional
Arenacross Series finals in Omaha, Neb., March 17-19.
“Everything’s going real well. My Hondas are running well and I’m
looking to be in the points lead after the next three races,” said
Willoh.
