James Stewart Steps Up for the Privateers

  • James Stewart Steps Up for the Privateers

Wonder Warthog Racing is pleased to announce that current Amp'd Mobile World Supercross points leader, James Stewart, has pledged his commitment to their Team Warthog Privateer Support Programs. The charismatic Kawasaki rider and his longtime sponsor, Fox Racing, will be donating considerable resources throughout the 2006 AMA Supercross Series.

Stewart, winner of the first two rounds of the prestigious 18-race championship series, said "I've supported Wonder Warthog Racing from the beginning because it's great for the privateers and great for the sport. It's not easy getting to the races each week and it makes me feel good to help them out any way that I can.  After seeing how hard the guys at WWR work each week to help out the riders, it was an easy decision to increase my support."

"James has been there for us since we started the program two years ago," said WWR co-founder, Scott Kandel, "Without the generous support of most of the elite factory riders, the program wouldn't be sustainable.  Our big tent philosophy allows us to include a diverse collection of both primary sponsors and contributors. James' decision to step up his commitment to our cause is testament to the level of passion he has for the sport."

Stewart joins fellow Floridian and defending Supercross Champion, Ricky Carmichael, as Primary Sponsors of WWR.  To find out more about WWR, its primary sponsors, contributors and the hard-working privateers who it benefits, please visit www.wonderwarthogracing.com.

Wonder Warthog Racing (WWR) is a unique company formed to better the sport of motocross.  WWR is comprised of two distinct entities:  Team Warthog, created to conceptualize, fund, and execute meaningful programs aimed directly at the privateers; and Wonder Warthog Enterprises (WWE), which is focused on merchandise and entertainment products such as video games and cartoon incarnations based on the Wonder Warthog comic book character, with a portion of the revenues earmarked for Team Warthog funding.
