  • BooKoo AX Charges into Long Beach Arena with Over 600 Pre-entered Riders

Top Professional and Amateur Riders to Get It On!

Santa Ana, CA – December 6, 2005 – Advanstar today announced the K&N presents BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series Brought to you by Toyota to be held in conjunction with the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Arena December 9-11, 2005 has a record number of Professional and Amateur racers with over 600 pre-entries for the 3-day event.
The BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series will feature over 80 top professional riders competing in both the 250cc and 450cc classes from across the country making for brutal competition at this inaugural event. U.S. Open winner Brett Metcalfe, Kyle Partridge, Turbo Reif, and Jeff Northrop - among others - are ready to challenge the ‘Bad Boys of Arenacross’ – Josh Demuth, Tiger Lacey, Shane Bess, Josh Woods, Damien Plotts and Tommy Hofmaster to make this one of the most exciting events on the 12-city tour.

“The BooKoo series looks great from all I’ve seen and heard,” said Tuff Racing’s Jeff Northrop. “The record payout looks even better and I think the racing in Long Beach will be intense,” he added.

Riders will tackle one of the touchest ‘big-air’ tracks in the country, with 70’ doubles, triples, huge berms, sand pit and a set of demanding whoops to challenge the best riders the sport has to offer. BooKoo Arenacross is where racing fans have an opportunity to see the top riders competing in two classes, the infamous Dash-for-Cash along with Trevor Vines airing it out in a Freestyle exhibition.

“We have created one of the most entertaining Arenacross series ever and I am excited for the opportunity to showcase this series to the southern California fans,” said Advanstar Race Director, Mike Kidd. “The talent and energy is beyond words.”

The BooKoo Arenacross racers will fire up the crowd at the Long Beach Arena December 9-10, 2005. The night kicks of with the BooKoo Pit Party and Track Walk at 6:00 pm. Pro Racing Begins at 8:00pm. With more than $3.5 million up for grabs in purse, points fund and contingency money, this is the richest arenacross series in history – and the competition will be brutal! Top arenacross racers will tackle one of the toughest “big-air” tracks in the country, and if your heart can take it, Trevor Vines’ Freestyle Exhibition will thrill you during the Pro 250/450 race intermission. Sunday amateur racing starts at noon and pre-registration is still available online at www.racearenacross.com for those who wish to test their skills on the professionally built track.

Motorcycle fans will also be able to check out the newest and hottest street and off-road bikes and ATV’s, as well as the latest riding gear and accessories at the 25th Cycle World International Motorcycle Show Brought to you by Toyota Trucks. Together with the BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series, this is one Huge event you don’t want to miss.

Advance Reserved Discount Tickets are now on-sale through Ticketmaster (online at www.ticketmaster.com or charge-by-phone at 714-740-2000 or 213-480-3232) and participating Kawasaki Dealers. BooKoo Arenacross and Cycle World IMS Show combo tickets are also available.

The BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series continues on to Glendale, AZ December 16-18, 2005. K&N Filters BooKoo Arenacross promises to deliver bigger air...better tracks…more speed….
