  • Sarah Whitmore and Tarah Gieger announce new team for 2006

#4 to make a special appearance at the Long Beach round of the BooKoo Arenacross, wearing MSR gear

That’s right, Sarah Whitmore will be at the Long Beach round of the BooKoo Arenacross on December 9 – 11.  In fact, Sarah and Tarah Gieger will both be there.  They will be there to support their new teammates, Turbo Reif and Logan Darien, of the Richardson’s RV team, who will be racing in the event.  Tarah and Sarah will be on hand to hand out shirts and sign autographs, as well as meet with sponsors.  Sarah is actually considering racing in the women’s class on Sunday.  Tarah, however, will be spectating, allowing her neck to get stronger and focusing on the upcoming Women’s Motocross Association (WMA) series.

Sarah and Tarah will be riding for the Richardson’s RV team in the 2006.  When asked how the Richardson’s RV thing came about, Sarah said, “Richardson’s was a team sponsor early in last year’s season, and really stepped up to help Tarah and I finish out the season right.  The people at Richardson’s have really gone above and beyond to help us out.  The team is really first-class, not only how the team is run, but how everyone treats everyone, equally. I am really looking forward to the upcoming year, and getting acquainted with the team’s sponsors, even though I have to leave a few of my old sponsors in the process.  I really appreciate everyone’s help in being a big part of me getting to this point.”

This year Sarah and Tarah will be pitting out of the Richardson’s big rig at each of their events.  Both will be chasing the WMA championship, while Sarah will be defending her 2005 Loretta Lynn’s Championship.

“The Richardson’s RV team is great.  They have flown us out for special events, like their grand opening.  They recently opened a brand new building at their Sun City location.  It is huge.  Not only are we pitting out of the rig with the guys, but we are treated great, and have made a lot of friends.  The team is more like a family.  The folks at Richardson’s have been wonderful, and I am looking forward to racing form them in 2006”, said Tarah.  Both Tarah and Sarah would like to thank their sponsors, who include: Yamaha, Alpinestars, MSR, O’GIO, Kicker, FMF, FASST, M2R, Shoei, Enzo suspension, Independent suspension, Pro Wheel, Cti knee braces, Galfer brakes, Topar triple clamps, P.C.S. neck braces, Scott goggles, Oakley goggles, K&N filters, Wiseco pistons and clutch baskets, Pro Clean 1000, Engine Ice, Carbon Fiber Works, Fastway footpegs, Santa Cruz Concepts, and Etnies Girl.  Sarah will also be announcing another partnership and new sponsor for 2006 while at the BooKoo Arenacross.

Both Sarah and Tarah will also be out at each of the amp’d mobile AMA Supercross events of Anaheim 1,2,3, and San Diego, in support of the team and its sponsors. Richardson’s RV riders, Turbo Reif and Logan Darien will be competing in the  upcoming 125 (Lites) West class of the Amp’d mobile AMA Supercross series.  They are both using the BooKoo Arenacross to train for the quickly approaching Anaheim 1 opener in January.  They will also be riding the Phoenix round of the BooKoo series.

The team would like to thank all of their sponsors: Jayco, Holiday Rambler, Etnies, Yoshimura, Race Tech, American Racing Wheels, Metal Mulisha, Utopia Optics, Michelin tires, ZLT graphics, Pro Honda Oils and Chemicals, Cahuilla Creek MX, Renthal, Motosportproducts.com,  Hinson clutch baskets, Deluge Water, and Escondido Cycle Center (ECC).
