Witness Governor Huntsman Kick Start Motorcycle Racing in West Valley City, Utah Saturday Night!
Advanstar welcomes Governor John Huntsman Jr. of Utah to the fourth
round of the K&N Presents BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series

Governor Huntsman will welcome the crowd and ride into opening
ceremonies on board a motorcycle with Troy Lee Designs race gear during
night two of the Fourth round of Advanstar’s inaugural race series at
the E Center December 3, 2005. The Festivities take place this weekend
December 2-4, 2005 with doors opening at 6:00 pm to a Rock ‘N Race Pit
Party on the arena floor where fans can actually walk the track that
the professional motorcycle racers compete on. Opening Ceremonies are
set to begin at 7:15 pm with pro racing starting at 7:30 pm.
“It is an honor and a privilege to have Governor Huntsman be part of
our event,” said Mike Kidd, Advanstar Race Director. “Governor Huntsman
carries with him the same passion for motorcycle racing that is
embodied in our series and we look forward to his being a part of such
a great show in West Valley this weekend.”
The Governor is an avid fan and promoter of motocross and arenacross.
He began riding dirt bikes at the age of 12 and started racing when he
was 16 years old. The Governor and his family have ridden on numerous
motocross tracks throughout Utah and he still races in the sportsman
class on his Honda CRF 450. Governor Huntsman is the 16th governor of
Utah and has served as the White House staff assistant to President
Ronald Regan and was the youngest U.S. Ambassador to Singapore in a
century.
Arenacross racing is a specialized form of indoor motocross racing with
more than 200 truck loads of dirt brought into the E Center to
construct a man-made battle ground of jumps, berms and triple jumps.
Top factory supported motocross riders from across the nation along
with several top Utah riders will attend the BooKoo Arenacross
Championship Series for their share of the 3.5 million dollars in
purse, point fund and contingency offered through the 12-city tour.

amateur shootout beginning at noon.
The K&N Filters presents BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series
heads to Southern California for the first time ever at the Long Beach
Arena in Long Beach, CA December 9-11, 2005. The 12-round race series
wraps up in Tulsa, OK February 10-12, 2006. For more information about
