IronBoss team race this weekend in West Virginia
The Fall IronBoss race at Tomahawk MX in Hedgesville, WV, takes
place on Sunday, Nov 20th. This race will combine many
disciplines, including motocross, arenacross, and GNCC-type racing.
According to Tomahawk's Brian Weber, "This will be challenging to all
skill levels and everyone is on an equal playing field. And there are
no classes--everyone is racing for the overall with teams consisting of
two riders in combinations of A, B and C riders, but the only thing not
allowed is two A or Pro riders combined as a team. Those riders must be
teamed with either a B rider or a C rider."
The event lasts three hours and riders switch partners every lap,
though each partner has their own bike. Lap times should be around nine
minutes, according to Weber.
Cash and prizes awarded for the top finishers, with custom trophies
made by the IronBoss himself Chris Rhoten, former pro MX racer, and
leader of the infamous band IronBoss. (You may have heard their music
featured on The Great Outdoors 2 DVD. Check them out at
www.ironboss.com.)
If you want to get some late-season racing in, this sounds like a fun event.
