  • ZIR Helmets WMA Cup Presented by Hitachi

Cycle Ranch MX Park, Floresville, Nov. 25-28, 2005

(Nov. 9, 2005) Bend, OR The 3rd Annual Z1R Helmets WMA Cup presented by Hitachi, is primed to once again be the largest women¹s race of the year. The race will be held in conjunction with the USA Team Championship at the Cycle Ranch MX Park, Floresville, Texas on Nov. 24 28, 2005.

The Z1R Helmets WMA Cup is a unique women¹s event that includes the largest women¹s pro purse of the season (more than $ 10,000.00) and the most women¹s amateur classes offered at a motocross race (14 in all, starting at 50cc 4-6 years old) which gives girls and women the rare opportunity to race more than one class and to race other women their age, skill level and bike size. The event hosts a special women¹s awards ceremony with six-foot tall trophies guaranteed to 10th place. In 2004, the WMA Cup drew the largest field of women racers in history with over 200 women entries.

Another highlight of the distinctive race is the participation of women racers from around the globe. The 2005 entry list so far includes; Elin Mann (Sweden), Natalie King (Ireland), Stephania Padrini (Italy), Jo Adlam (New Zealand), Elien De Winter (Belgium), Larissa Papenmeier (Germany), Gloria Declari (Italy), Alex Haupt (Germany), Silvia Santaga (Italy), and Galina Valueka (Russia) along with most of the top stars of WMA Pro Racing.

Support for the event comes from WMA sponsors: Hitachi, Honda, Kawasaki, Scott USA, VP Race Fuels, Sick Racing, Alpinestars, Dunlop Tires, Mirage Trailers, Pro Clean 1000/Motobloc, Northwest Motorsports, Ready Racing and Champion Beadlock Wheels.

Contingency for select classes is being offered by Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Scott USA, and Dunlop Tires. In addition, Sick Racing will sponsor the pro class Holeshot awards and EMA Racing will be backing the pro class Hard Charger awards.
