How Many Overall GNCC Wins Does Kailub Russell Have?
Through the end of the 2019 Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Racing season, we ran this List on Kailub Russell's career overall GNCC wins. Russell would go on to win seven more races en route to the 2020 Grand National title before retiring from racing full-time.
Then, Russell decided to make a comeback with the AmPro Yamaha team for 2025. It has been more difficult than the eight-time champion expected his return to racing to be, he has admitted on social media. But over the weekend, Russell picked up another overall win! Russell claimed the '25 John Penton GNCC overall, which brings his total to 68 overall GNCC wins.
His first 67 wins came aboard a KTM with his 68th win coming on a Yamaha. His last win was over five years ago! The High Voltage GNCC in Pennsylvania on July 12, 2020, was Russell's final overall win before he retired. Now, 1,918 days later, Russell is at the center step of a GNCC podium once again.
When Russell retired in 2020, his 67 wins were by far the most all-time, as he had over 20 wins more than Scott Summers on the all-time list, and third most all-time is Rodney Smith with 33 wins (check out the full list here).
