  • K1 Speed/BWR Engines/SSiDecals Announces 2017 Roster - Supercross
Anaheim, CA Anaheim 1 (A1) Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship

Irvine, CA – Team K1 Speed is pleased to announce the rider lineup for the 2017 AMA Monster Energy Supercross season. This season Team K1 Speed/BWR Engines/SSi Decals team will include riders in both the East and West Coast Regions of the supercross tour. The 450 rider lineup will be made up of returning riders of Kyle White on the #291 and Cade Clason on the newly numbered #80. In addition to the 450 riders, Brandon Scharer has gotten the nod from team owner Brian White to ride the #154 250SX BWR Engines powered machine. When the series moves east, Tony Archer will campaign the #285 in the 250SX division.

In addition to Team K1 Speed/BWR Engines/SSi Decals, K1 Speed will have three additional riders—450 rider #314 Alex Ray, 250SX riders Noah McConahy #59, and #87 Chris Howell. All three riders will be aboard Husqvarnas for the course of the season.

Brian White – Team operator and owner of BWR Engines:

“I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results we had last year and to have K1 Speed, BWR Engines, and SSi Decals back with us again, is fantastic. They believe in what we do and are a dream to work with; they give us all the tools we need to put forth our best effort week after week. We put a rider in the majority of the main events last year. My expectations for 2017 are really high. I can see us being in every main this year and multiple top 10 finishes. I am very excited by the riders on the team this year. Cade and Kyle have put in some incredible work this off season and I know they are going to come out of the gate faster than ever. The addition of Brandon and Tony to the 250 program is going to take it to the next level I think. I am confident that our team and riders are going to be a pretty well known name by the end of this season.”

Randall Hoppe – K1 Speed advertising and brand marketing manager:

“The 2016 season ended on an incredibly high note for the entire team at K1 Speed/BWR Engines/SSi Decals. We are thrilled to be continuing on in 2017 with the team. Brian and Kyle have done an incredible job moving the organization over from Arenacross and have been making a pretty good splash week after week. This years lineup of riders is one I am very excited about. Having Cade Clason back after a successful 2016 is huge for us and the addition of Brandon Scharer and Tony Archer is really going to elevate our 250SX program a lot. Also, I am expecting some really big things out of Kyle White this year. This year is going to a really good one for the whole race team and K1 Speed as an organization. We’re excited about adding Alex Ray, Noah McConahy and Chris Howell to our stable of K1 Speed athletes as well. They’re really fast riders and even better guys.”
