For 2015, Racer X has partnered with MotoDynasty to bring you Fantasy Supercross. We’ll be offering cool weekly and series prizes; dynasty play; private leagues that just you and you’re buddies can play in; weekly fantasy previews; and weekly podcasts all focused on fantasy. Each week, make sure to check out this preview, which explains how scoring works, how to play, and maybe even how to win. Or visit motodynasty.racerxonline.com.

Houston Stats

[Long exhale] Ok, the excitement of Anaheim has worn thin and most teams, riders and fans have their attention focused squarely on Lucas Oil Pro Motocross. Both championships are wrapped up, and if we’re being honest, there isn’t much to look forward to this weekend. UNLESS YOU PLAY FANTASY SUPERCROSS. (On Racer X, of course.) This is why fantasy was invented: Keep people tuned in during the long stretches of the season. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched a crappy football game to the last second because of fantasy. While painful, it was rewarding when my player caught a five-yard pass at the end of a 24-0 game to clinch my victory. So, tune in this weekend and watch your fantasy hopes die a slow death. Let’s take a look back to Houston to see who was on-point.

450SX

Cole Seely | 1st Place

1. 1 percent
2. 7 percent
3. 50 percent
Fifty-eight percent of all users had Seely on the podium.

Ryan Dungey | 2nd Place

1. 44 percent
2. 41 percent
3. 9 percent
Ninety-four percent of all users had Dungey on the podium.

Seriously, what is wrong with 6 percent of you?

Eli Tomac | 3rd Place

1. 50 percent
2. 41 percent
3. 5 percent
Ninety-six percent of all users had Tomac on the podium.

Seriously, what is wrong with 4 percent of you?

250SX West

Cooper Webb | 1st Place

1. 90 percent
2. 7 percent
3. 2 percent
Ninety-nine percent of all users had Webb on the podium.

Seriously, what is wrong with 1 percent of you?

Shane McElrath | 2nd Place

1. 0 percent
2. 6 percent
3. 8 percent
Fourteen percent of all users had McElrath on the podium.

Malcolm Stewart | 3rd Place

1. 1 percent
2. 14 percent
3. 25 percent
Forty-nine percent of all users had Stewart on the podium.

Top Picks/Sleepers

Davi Millsaps | Last week: 7th
He's out. Don't pick him. You're welcome.

Cole Seely | Last week: 1st
You’d be hard pressed to leave him off your podium this weekend. He has three podiums in the last five rounds and is coming off his first career win. Top five is a must.

Weston Peick | Last week: 22nd
Jason Anderson awoke the beast last week. I look for Peick to funnel that aggression into a top-six finish.

Justin Barcia | Last week: 9th
Bam Bam was pretty good in his return last weekend. Start inside the latter half of the top ten.

Broc Tickle | Last week: 8th
In the last five rounds Tickle has gone 10-8-7-9-8. I’d start in that area.

Kyle Partridge | Last week: 17th
It’s been a tough couple weeks for Partridge. Look for him to rebound this weekend and earn a top-fifteen finish.

250SX

Cooper Webb | Last week: 1st
I don’t see him letting off the gas even if the championship is wrapped up. I like a podium, at least.

Alex Martin | Last week: 5th
Martin has had a career year in 2015. Look for it to continue this weekend. Fifth through tenth is a great starting point.

Aaron Plessinger | Last week: 4th
His fourth place was overshadowed last weekend, but he’s the real deal. I like top five.

Jackson Richardson | Last week: 12th
The proof is in Richardson’s results—18-11-14-11-12-12. Start around eleventh and go from there.

Trevor Reis | Last week: 15th
Has quietly made four straight main events. I like him there again.

Malcolm Stewart | Last week: 3rd
After his podium in Phoenix, he finished fifth the following week. After his win in Oakland, he finished seventeenth in Anaheim III. I think he’s solid again this week. Top five is a good start.

Bonus Picks

It’s time to start pulling out the big guns. If you’re way back in your league, go ahead and start placing bets on pole positions, heat winners, and holeshots. You have nothing to lose (except dignity). If you’re within striking distance, hold off on pulling the holeshot trigger. It’s by far the biggest risk to take. You’re better off making solid main event picks and heat race winners. But there are players out there going Full Monty this weekend. To help, we’ve noticed a few trends.

Pole Position

This is probably one of your safest bets this weekend. With Tyler Bowers and Jessy Nelson both sidelined, I don’t see anyone touching Cooper Webb here. If you’re looking for a sleeper, go with McElrath. In 450SX, it’s down to Eli Tomac and Ryan Dungey. Case closed. Flip a coin—heads: Tomac; tails: Dungey

Heat Winners

Ryan Dungey has won an astounding nine heat races this year, including last weekend in Houston. I also like Cole Seely here. He’s been on fire. In the 250 class, start with Cooper Webb and keep McElrath and Justin Hill in mind as well.

Holeshot

If you’re desperate, go ahead and pull the trigger on Andrew Short. He has five holeshots this year. No one else has more than one. In the 250SX Class, I like Zach Osborne. He’s been so strong out of the gate. Again, if you’re within striking distance, stay away from holeshot.
