  • After strong results in Canada this summer, local racer Jesse Pierce came to KROC looking to score top results. He did just that, taking the Best Whip win on Friday night, third overall in the 250 class on Sunday, and second overall in the 450 class on Sunday.

  • Brandon Hartranft was the big amateur class winner for the weekend. Not only did he take the win in the Open Amateur class, but he was also the winner of Sunday’s Ironman Classic moto and with it the grand prize of a new Kawasaki.

  • The Kessler family has a long history of racing at the Race of Champions and Raceway Park. In the 70s and 80s, it was Mickey Kessler taking the wins, and now in 2014 it was Mickey’s son Dakota. A fifth overall in the Open class was backed up with two strong moto wins in the 250 class and the overall win.

  • Butler, Pennsylvania's Dylan Slusser battled Kessler in the second 250 moto, eventually settling in for second place. This result, coupled with a first moto fourth, earned Slusser second overall.

  • Chase Fasnacht was the top minibike racer for the weekend. He took the victory in the 85cc 12-15 class on Saturday and won the Top Gun Mini Cycle Shootout during Sunday’s afternoon.
