BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki’s Byrne Fights Back in Toronto
March 30, 2011 3:35pm
The entire BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team headed up to Canada this weekend for round twelve of the AMA Supercross series. Team riders Jason Thomas and Michael Byrne were hoping to keep the momentum going from the last round in Jacksonville, Florida where both riders performed well.
Just as the temperatures were as opposite as could be between the two rounds, well the results this weekend were as well. Thomas was squeezed out of the main event with a few turns remaining in the LCQ and Byrner crashed in the first turn and had to come from last.
Eventually the friendly Aussie made it up to fourteenth in one of the most stacked fields in recent history but he wasn’t happy.
“The track was tough for sure but I’ve got to be better. Thanks to all the sponsors who helped out and I’ll get back on track this weekend in Dallas” said Byrne after the race.
Thomas is fighting through a knee injury and certainly trying his best out here. The diminutive privateer hero has just started to be able to ride during the week and his results should get better real soon.
Byrner is still well within the top twenty in the points after missing a good portion of the series early on with an injury. JT, who started the year well, is just outside the top twenty but he’s certainly number one in a lot of fans hearts.
Thank you to our sponsors and there’s no way we could go racing without their help:
