America’s Weekly Motorcycle News Source set for February 15 release

IRVINE, Calif.,- With a history of over 40 years of producing a weekly motorcycle newspaper that fans of the sport and the industry have relied on, Cycle News will turn the page on February 15 with the debut of its made- for-digital publication.
The new Cycle News, which is now part of the Motorsport Aftermarket Group (MAG), will be published weekly, but now promises unmatched timeliness with a Tuesday delivery no matter where the reader lives.

“One of the frustrations of the printed Cycle News was the fact that its delivery was unreliable,” said editor Paul Carruthers. “We’d send the publication to the printer on Monday night, but then it was out of our hands and into the postal system. While some received their issues on Wednesday or Thursday, others didn’t get theirs until the following week. That doesn’t work well for a news-based publication. Readers will now get their digital issue delivered to their computers and/or iPads every Tuesday.”

In addition to reliable and timely delivery, the digital Cycle News will also bring readers a more dynamic package with photography slide shows, videos, etc. – both editorially and in the publication’s advertising content – making for a richer reading experience. Each issue will have full search capabilities; readers will be able to share stories via social media; issues can be downloaded and read off-line; stories can be printed; and subscribers will have full access to past issues.

“I’m of the belief that content is king and Cycle News will continue to be the leader when it comes to factual, reliable news stories presented in a timely manner,” Carruthers said. “But our new format will also allow us to give our readers more features, bike tests, interviews and behind-the-scenes information than ever before. We’re excited about the new Cycle News and look forward to providing readers with everything they’ve ever wanted in a motorcycle publication.”

A one-year, 50-issue subscription to Cycle News is available at www.CycleNews.com
