We were getting our buts kicked the first half of the 1000 but as the night fell I knew we had the team to bring it home. Brian Pinard our bike/prep and night guy stopped to help a downed rider till he was secured and continued through the night, just shows how much hart this team has. It’s been a great team effort from all of my sponsors and riders. It feels good to be on the podium as this is the biggest race of the year for us. The bike (450x Honda) held up the entire 1064 miles, no motor or tire issues

I had a little shaky start laying it down about 6 miles out of town but got going again and things started clicking. We got the bike all the way to the number three spot O/A and somewhere outside Bay of L.A. I picked up a hole in the radiator, I pulled over to some guys and it was our competition in the 30 pro class, Mike Johnson’s crew, they loaned me a radiator and I got going about an hour later. As the night fell we ended up with a few more problems outside of Loreto. At this point I’m just glad we made it to the finish. I’d like to thank all the sponsors and riders for there effort to get the bike to the finish. This was a tuff one.
