Benefit BMX Race For Doug Henry
From Buck Markie:
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving The Henry's home caught fire and burned to the ground. Although no one was home and everyone is ok, they still have no home now. This past season Doug's son Ian raced at Foothills a number of times and did really well. At one race Ian came back with a flat tire and just like I've seen a million times everyone went frantic looking for tubes and tools so that he would make the next moto. Thats... what BMXERs do, we help each other out. Well now the Henry's really need us to pull together. This tragedy is much bigger than a hole in a tire.
So after seeing all the people on facebook trying to come up with ways to help them out, I said wait a minute. A benefit race would work out great. With all the riders making their way out to Ohio for the Christmas race I bet there are a ton that would love to get a few gates before the trip and help out this wonderful family at the same time.
So here's the facts:
Saturday morning work party! The track just needs manual labor, a lot of shovels and rakes. If we get enough people there to help it will take no time at all.
Work Party on Saturday starts at 9am
