GNCC and ATVMX Series Looking for Media Relations Coordinator

We're looking for a Media Relations Coordinator for Racer Productions and MX Sports in our Morgantown, WV headquarters, to begin as soon as possible.

 

??About the Job?
Racer Productions, producers of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series and various motocross events, and MX Sports, producers of the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch, the ITP Tires/Moose Racing ATVMX Series, and more, is looking to fill a Media Relations Coordinator position for their industry-leading racing series and events. The Media Relations Coordinator will be responsible for creating and managing the PR campaigns for GNCC Racing and ATVMX, and assisting public relations plans for the AMA Amateur National and other events. Duties include generating press releases and other written content, communicating with local media to encourage coverage of our events, maintaining the email database and creating email blasts, posting articles, photo galleries, video, and more on gnccracing.com, mxsports.com and other websites. The position will also include copy-editing, social media engagement, general website maintenance, as well as additional duties.??

 

Requirements?
Strong, clean writing skills are essential to this position, as is a basic understanding of public relations principles. A college degree is preferred. Knowledge of motorcycle and ATV racing is favored. Candidates should demonstrate computer proficiency and a strong command of the English language. This is a very fast-paced position that requires motivation, a strong work ethic, common sense and a good attitude. A love of the sport is a bonus.

There will be travel associated with this position, mainly on weekends attending races in the eastern U.S.
