Midway, UT. Utah Motocross Promotions, LLC is pleased to announce that the Western Indoor Motocross Nationals presented by Comcast will be held at the larger, nicer Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City, UT. Beginning Friday August 13th 2010 and running through Sunday August 15th 2010, the roaring engines of highflying motocross machines will invade Downtown Salt Lake City. This will be the first ever large motocross event for Pro Women in the State of Utah. With a purse of $11,000, this is expected to be an exciting battle with some of the best names in the business. In the premier 450 class, racers from across the nation will be fighting for their chance to stand at the top of the podium. And it is expected that many of the 450 class racers will also race in the Lites class, looking to take a piece of the large purse being offered in that class as well. The main Pro Event begins at 7:00pm on both Friday, August 13th, and Saturday, August 14th.
The indoor racing will offer spectators exciting bar-to-bar racing, large jumps and other obstacles making for incredible action. Along with the fastest guys and gals in the west, the event will include some of the west’s best amateur racers, who will be competing for trophies and special prizes in a variety of amateur classes. And in honor of the Women Pros, all amateur women racers will go home with a prize. No one will go home empty handed.
In addition, a special charity benefit race will be running all three days pitting Law Enforcement Officers against their uniformed Fire Fighter friends in a head-to-head motocross race. At the end of the first two nights racing, the winning group will be given a large traveling trophy which they will keep until the next race event. All race entry proceeds for the Fire vs Law class will be split and go directly to the Utah State Firemen’s Association and Fallen Officer Foundation of Utah. Any certified fire fighter or law enforcement officer is welcome to race this benefit class.
Admission prices are just $12 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets to the event will be available at the Energy Solutions Arena box office, or from SmithTix.
