KTM Primm Race Report

Primm, NV – FMF/KTM Factory rider Kurt Caselli is back at home and back to running at the front of the pack in the WORCS events – taking his first win of the year at the second round of the series. His teammate, Mike Brown, started the race well, but mechanical problems caused him to DNF part way into the race.
Caselli got a great jump off the gate putting his KTM 450 XC-F into second place around the first turn. He quickly passed for the lead and led every lap to the end. “It felt great to win this event. This was our first time racing here and I really liked the course. It was sandy desert terrain, just like my house. I felt comfortable all weekend,” commented Caselli.
Brown also had a decent start coming around the first turn in 4th place. Brown maintained that position staying close to Justin Soulè and Ricky Dietrich throughout the first half of the race. Shortly after the halfway mark is where Brown encountered a mechanical problem and had to withdraw from the race. “I am bummed that I had a mechanical problem today, but I will come back stronger at the next event and try to gain back some lost points. It is still early in the series, so you never know what can happen,” stated Brown.
