  • 24-Hour Training For A Cure
What:        A 24-hour marathon of dirt bike training courses to raise money and breast cancer awareness, sending all donations to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure®. The dirt bike school offers introductory training to registered participants, while creating an alertness of a great foundation like the Susan G. Komen For The Cure. The school will consist of five classes, which start at 8 a.m. on Friday morning and end at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Where:
Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. headquarters at:
        9950 Jeronimo Rd.
        Irvine, CA 92618
*The event will be held on the dirt lot located north of the office building.

When:
12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12. The first class will be ending, providing opportunity to interview participants as well as the organizers. Breast cancer survivors will also be available to talk about their experiences and how events like the Moto Marathon help fight breast cancer.

Why:
In 2009, a daily estimated 527 women were newly diagnosed with breast cancer (192,370 for 2009*). Kawasaki wanted to help raise awareness of the seriousness of breast cancer to the motorcycle community, while bringing together the love of motorcycling to new riders. The event will coincide with the Monster Energy® Supercross on Saturday at Angel Stadium, which will be “going pink” for the final stop in Southern California.

Contact:         To know more about the event or for any questions, please contact Ashley Little at (949) 697-3729 or email Ashley.Little@kmc-usa.com
