Corona, CA – Newly signed MSR rider Zach Ames started off the 2010 AMA Arenacross Series with back to back podium finishes in Grand Rapids. Ames came in to the season opener a little under the radar of the factory supported teams and most of the casual fans, despite earning Arenacross National number 11 from his 2009 results. By the time the final checkered flag flew Saturday night, everyone knew the likeable Ohioan would be a contender week in and week out.
“We are extremely happy to have Zach representing our MSR helmets and riding apparel on the Arenacross circuit,” stated MSR Marketing Manager Randy Valade. “We knew all along that he would be challenging for wins in 2010, I’m glad to see he was able to put in a couple solid rides this weekend.”
Ames currently sits 3rd in the Championship chase, a mere 3 points out of the lead.
