There aren’t too many people who take the Montreal Supercross more seriously than BTO Sports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki’s Jason Thomas. The native of Melrose Florida is a past winner who showed up this year with the cards stacked against him; switching to a new brand of bike and lacking the prep time he needed, and then having a couple of crappy practice sessions left him disillusioned and hating life.
It all came together for him in the main event when he got the holeshot and checked out for his second career Montreal SX win. His win was secured in the opening laps when his torrid pace gapped Colton Facciotti and Dusty Klatt and he held onto the lead from there. It was a great ride for JT and 2009 marks the fifth straight year that he has made the podium at this race.
DirectMotocross.com interviewed Thomas after the race, and you can click here to read that interview.
