  • Suzuki Selects Shopatron to Grow eCommerce Business
San Luis Obispo, CA – Shopatron, the leading provider of eCommerce solutions for consumer goods manufacturers, announces American Suzuki Motor Corporation, a leading motorcycle, ATV, scooter, marine, and automotive goods distributor, as the newest addition to its roster of high-quality customers.

Through Shopatron’s Coex Freedom eCommerce solution, Suzuki will strengthen partnerships with its dealers by assigning online orders of motorcycle and ATV accessories to local stores. Dealers can offer shoppers shipment or in-store pickup of orders made via Suzuki’s online store. With Shopatron, Suzuki will contribute to the growth of in-store sales for its dealers, and together they will meet the needs and demands of shoppers.

Suzuki will initially deploy the Shopatron solution in participating Motorcycle/ATV dealership locations throughout the US where its Genuine Suzuki Accessories are sold.  Suzuki will offer its full-line of Boulevard, Streetbike, Off-road and ATV accessories including chrome bolt-on products, windshields, saddlebags/luggage, ATV bumpers and skidplates, custom trim products and riding and casual gear. In addition to shoppers receiving orders faster, trained salespeople will be able to answer questions and provide advice when the customer arrives to claim an order. If necessary, experts will also be on hand to assist with installation of certain products.

“Suzuki is a trusted brand in the Powersports, marine and automotive segments and has a solid and loyal customer base,” said Ed Stevens, founder and CEO of Shopatron. “Suzuki customers will quickly realize the benefits of ordering products directly from Suzuki.com and the convenience of obtaining them from a local, trained dealer, who has the knowledge and expertise to provide top quality technical service.”

“Suzuki doesn’t sell directly to consumers, so we rely heavily on our dealers, many of whom already use the Shopatron solution with other accessory manufacturers,” said Gary Sherfey, manager of the Powersports Accessories Group for American Suzuki Motor Corp. “With Shopatron, we can capture and drive additional sales opportunities directly through our Web site, generating business for our dealers and ultimately more business for Suzuki. Shopatron has a proven reputation in eCommerce and having received positive feedback from several of its existing customers, we anticipate great results.”   Over the next two months, Suzuki will be implementing initiatives to make its dealer base aware of its relationship with Shopatron. Suzuki joins many other Powersports and automotive goods manufacturers who utilize Shopatron to enable shipment and in-store pickup of consumers’ online orders from retail stores.

About Shopatron Shopatron, Inc., the leading provider of global eCommerce solutions for consumer goods manufacturers, enables consumer brands to accept and fulfill orders online while avoiding channel conflict.
