L&M Racing’s Chad Reed Wins Anaheim 1
Anaheim, California – January 8, 2008 – L&M Racing and past Supercross champion Chad Reed rode to victory at Saturday's Supercross season opener at Angel Stadium.
In less than perfect conditions, Chad Reed rose to the occasion and secured first place in the opening round of the AMA Supercross series. Reed stalled his bike on the first lap, allowing second place to take the lead however Reed was in a league of his own and quickly reclaimed first and never looked back, going on to win by a staggering 17 seconds. Reed, who won his heat race earlier in the night, was by far the fastest rider of the night. The win was Reed’s fourth career victory at the prestigious series opener.
“I have been thinking about this race since last May,” said Reed afterwards. “I knew I needed a good start tonight and had to fight. I have been working really hard, and this win shows that hard work pays off.” Chad is looking forward to making it back to back wins as the series goes to Phoenix this weekend for round number two of the 2008 season.
