Casey Hinson Signs With New Team
Casey Hinson recently signed on with a new team for the 2008 AMA Supercross West Coast lites series. He will be racing on a factory-supported RM-Z250. Hinson came through the amateur ranks as a team Suzuki rider. He will now be supported by Team Bloodshot/Core Ride Shop/Westcoast Customs/Suzuki.
"I could not be more excited about the opportunity to become part of the Bloodshot/Core Ride Shop family for the 2008 season" said Hinson. "The combined experience of the team manager and crew gives me the confidence and security I need while on and off the track. The 2008 Suzuki RMZ250 that the team has built for me is by far the best bike I have ever ridden.”
The 19-year-old started racing for Suzuki when he was 12 and was very successful in the amateur program. At the age of 16 he turned pro and transitioned into racing Arenacross. In 2006 Hinson gained a spot on the Bookoo Honda Arenacross Team. That same season he earned the title Rookie of the Year. In 2007 he rode Arenacross for a Suzuki satellite team and scored numerous top five finishes. 2008 is a new season and a new scene. Hinson has now transferred over to Supercross and is looking forward to a successful season.
Currently, Hinson lives in Madera, California where he recently had a supercross track built with the help of mxtrackbuilders.com. When he's not busy racing or training, Hinson enjoys teaching young racers at his hometown track.
