Monster Energy’s Grant Langston 2nd Overall @ Bercy SX
Langston and Chad Reed battle for the overall win; Monster’s Jeremy McGrath is still the European’s favorite, holeshots a main and scores respectable 5th
CORONA, Calif., (Nov. 12, 2007) – Monster Energy’s Grant Langston raced to a 2nd place overall finish this past weekend at the 25th annual Bercy Supercross in front of an always animated crowd at Paris’ Palais-Omnisport (Nov. 9-11).
Langston was able to win the opening night’s race, then battled hard with former AMA Supercross champ Chad Reed in the following evenings’ action. When the dust settled Langston had gone 1-2-2 for 2nd overall for the Rest of the World team.
Also representing for Monster Energy, the European fans’ favorite, was the legendary Jeremy McGrath. McGrath’s highlight was pulling the holeshot on Friday in the main and finishing 5th overall against some of Europe’s top supercross racers.
In addition, Monster Energy-backed Sebastien Pourcel (Kawasaki/GPKR) contested the race and, according to a GPKR press release, “hurt his handlebars with his thorax.”
