Monster Energy’s Brock Sellards & Kelly Smith 9th & 12th at Albany

Sellards is in 2nd overall in Arenacross class points with 48, Smith not far behind in 3rd place overall with 47 points after two rounds

CORONA, Calif., (Nov. 12, 2007) – Team Monster Energy/Babbitt’s/ Kawasaki’s Brock Sellards and Kelly Smith kept themselves right in the hunt of the overall Toyota AMA Arenacross Series points chase, this past weekend finishing 9th and 12th, respectively, in the single night Albany (N.Y.) Times Union Center main event.

By making the main event – something defending Toyota AMA Arenacross champion Danny Smith couldn’t do – both Sellards and Kelly Smith recorded valuable points towards the overall title, albeit less points than their podium finishes the previous week in Des Moines, Iowa, at the season opener.

Sellards is in 2nd place overall after two rounds (behind Chad
Johnson) with 48 points and Kelly Smith in 3rd overall with 47 points.

Next up for Monster Energy-backed Sellards and Kelly Smith is this weekend’s Reno (Nev.) Livestock Events Center, Nov. 16-17.
