Ashley Fiolek Forced to Sit Out Loretta’s
After crashing at the Mid-East area qualifier in Uhrichsville, Ohio on May 19th and suffering a broken ankle, Ashley Fiolek will sit out what was to be her final appearance at the renowned Loretta Lynn’s National.
According to Dr. Augustine, Ashley has endured a non-displaced left ankle fracture and will be in recovery for the next 6-8 weeks, leaving her unable to ride any regional qualifier for the event.
At the time of the crash Ashley was attempting to qualify in the MX Lites Schoolboy (14-16) class and got cross rutted over a double, causing her to eject in mid air. Ashley finished 6th in the first moto of the Schoolboy division and had gone 1-1 in the Women’s 12 + class.
Ashley will be announcing her future race schedule soon. For more up to date information on Ashley please log onto www.ashleyfiolek.com.
