  • NPG Donates to RiderDown's Supercross' Biggest Loser Contest

Anaheim, CA – The National Promoters Group, promoters of all 12 rounds of the 2007 AMA/Toyota Motocross Championship, announced they will donate $100 for each pound Scott USA’s Bevo Forti loses as part of the “Supercross’ Biggest Loser” program. Forti has embarked on a strict diet and exercise plan, and all per pound donations will go directly to RiderDown Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping injured riders.

“Although Spring Creek hosts one of the 12 largest pro motocross nationals in the country, our constituents by and large are amateur riders,” said Greta Martin, owner of Spring Creek Motocross in Millville, Minnesota. “RiderDown.org caters to all riders, both professional and amateur, and the services they provide are far reaching. The NPG is excited about the opportunity to be involved in such a worthy cause.”

For a baseline, Forti was weighed in on the official FIM scales at the Toronto Supercross in December, measuring in at 351.8 pounds. He will be weighed again at the final supercross round in Las Vegas in May. Pound pledgers can sign on at www.riderdown.org.

If you would like to host a Passion Tour event in support of Rider Down, please contact Tim Cotter of Racer Productions at tcotter@mxsports.com and your event will be added to the Tour. To learn how to become a RiderDown Angel, go to www.RiderDown.org or email them at info@riderdown.org.

About the NPG
The NPG is comprised of the 12 individual promoters of the Toyota AMA Motocross Championship, presented by FMF. The goal of the NPG is to raise awareness of motocross through the production of professional championship racing events.

About RiderDown Foundation:

With a nationwide network of volunteers ready to lend support and assistance to injured riders, RiderDown is actively giving back to the off road community.  As a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization, RiderDown has been delivering on its promise of “Helping Riders Up” since 2005. Dedicated to helping responsible off-road motorcyclists and ATV racers who have been injured while riding, proceeds are used to provide assistance to riders and their families when faced with medical expenses and related issues.
