- Privateer Profile: Bobby GarrisonFebruary 2, 2011Round one of the WORCS Series took place last weekend in Taft, Calif., and series veteran Bobby Garrison was one of the riders who lined up to do battle at Honolulu Hills. The event was shrouded by the sad and tragic news of Nathan Woods, who crashed and passed away in practice on Friday. Certainly the shocking loss of a such a well-respected racer weighed heavily on everyone’s mind at the opener—and will continue to.
- Between the Motos: Wayne LumgairFebruary 2, 2011There’s a new mechanic under the Pro Circuit tent but he’s not necessarily a new face. Thirty-six-year-old Wayne Lumgair has taken up the t-handles for Tyla Rattray and somehow, I believe this union has a chance to work out.
- The List: Ten Best AMA Rookies EverFebruary 2, 2011Welcome to another new regular feature here on Racer X Online, Maxima's The List. Each week we’ll do a little bench-racing here at the office and at the racetrack to come up with a list of motocross things. It could involve racers, equipment, destinations, DNFs—if it involves motocross, there's bound to be something we can bench-race about!

- Racer X ReduX: OaklandFebruary 1, 2011Everyone was all super pumped on racing at Dodger Stadium in LA, but when that race ended, and focus shifted to the next event in Oakland—another venue not on the 2010 schedule—the hype was deafening. Or maybe things were just silent because no one was talking about it.
- Observations: OaklandFebruary 1, 2011As I wrote in Racerhead on Friday, I might have been a bit harsh on James Stewart last week but I stand by the gist of the article which was that he needed a “James Stewart soul crushing” kind of ride this week so that everyone knew he was the man, everyone understood that he had lost nothing during his long layoff and that the magic was back.
- 5 Minutes with... Louie PeveriniFebruary 1, 2011Racer X Illustrated owes a big apology to Polini riders and the company. In the last issue of the magazine, we incorrectly mentioned in a Buzz entry that Polini was no longer selling motorcycles in the U.S. as a result of the Consumer Product Safety Commission's “Lead Law” ban on children's products. That is not the case, and for that we apologize to Polini and Polini USA.
