Gas Monkey Energy has partnered with AJE Motorsports for the 2019 season, the team announced. The team also announced that Justin Starling and Chris Blose will be on the team for the upcoming 2019 Monster Energy Supercross season.
Blose announced on Instagram that he will compete in the 250SX West Region on a Husqvarna in 2019.
“We knew Gas Monkey Energy was the perfect partner for our team when we first broke into the supercross scene last year making a "fast and loud” impression. Both brands are committed to high performance and making a name for themselves in their respective industries. We are excited to bring Gas Monkey Energy to the Supercross fan base,” said Tony Eyrich, AJE founder.
The Phoenix-based team has been competing in Monster Energy Supercross since 2017 and featured a two-rider team of Cole Martinez and Starling in 2018.
Gas Monkey Energy is owned by Richard Rawlings, founder of Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas, Texas, and star of the reality show Fast N’ Loud on Discovery. “Gas Monkey Energy is thrilled to break into the exciting sport of supercross. The fast paced, high energy nature of this sport makes it the perfect fit for Gas Monkey Energy. We're proud to be a part of this growing motorsport series and look forward to fueling the supercross fans by sharing our passion and teaming up with AJE Motorsports,” said Rawlings.
Gas Monkey Energy will serve as title sponsor for both Starling and Blose this season beginning at the Monster Energy Cup on October 13 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
