Injury to Sideline Team Australia's MXGP Entry Ahead of Motocross of Nations

MotoOnline.com.au is reporting that Kirk Gibbs, who was expected to represent Team Australia at the Motocross of Nations in Italy later this month, sustained a broken femur while testing for the upcoming Australian Supercross Championship.
Gibbs, the 2015 MX1 Australian Motocross Champion, finished runner-up to Dean Ferris in the MX1 Class this season.
According to MotoOnline.com.au’s report, it’s expected that Todd Waters, who raced the GPs in 2015, will replace Gibbs on the team. Waters finished third in the Australian Motocross Championship this year.
Waters is expected to join MX1 Champion Dean Ferris and MX2 Champion Jed Beaton in Maggiora on September 24-25.
