BTOSports.com-KTM-WPS made it official yesterday: Benny Bloss will contest the final two rounds of Monster Energy Supercross with the team in the 450 Class.
The 2015 Horizon Award winner filled-in for the injured Davi Millsaps last weekend in Foxborough, but failed to make the main in his first attempt in the class.
It’s been a whirlwind couple of months for the Missouri native. Bloss had previously never ridden a KTM, or a 450 in a professional supercross race, for that matter before last weekend. Since making his pro debut at the Ironman National last August Bloss has ridden for four different teams, had two fill-in roles, and competed in two classes. All for a 19-year-old rookie.
Last week, Bloss told us there was “no possible way that I could pass up this opportunity and that he’ll “have fun, and enjoy it.”
Team manager Forrest Butler says the team was impressed with his speed last week. “We are excited to have Benny on board with us” team manager Forrest Butler said. “He impressed us last weekend and look forward to the next few races with him.”
