New Berlin, NY - Unadilla MX in New Berlin, NY is pleased to announce June 10-12, 2016 as the fifth anniversary of MX Rewind.
This three day long vintage event celebrates dirt bike history through dirt bike competitions, racing, and off-track festivities. Friday starts the weekend with AHRMA cross-country racing and AHRMA trials competition. Motocross racing begins on Saturday with AHRMA vintage motocross and the first moto of the Unadilla promoter support classes. Sunday wraps up racing with AHRMA post vintage MX and the second moto of the support classes. For those looking for some unique racing opportunities, there are two team racing competitions at Thor MX Rewind. On Saturday, the popular Team Cup Challenge will take place while on Sunday, the Can-Am (Canadians versus Americans) Challenge will take the track.
"This event really takes us back in time", states Unadilla's Greg Robinson. "It's a retro event in the extreme. When we began putting MX Rewind down on paper, we had a goal to make this event the vintage event of the season. We wanted great vintage racing, cool vintage bikes, and the racers who appreciated both. And now, here we are, ready to celebrate the fifth anniversary of MX Rewind! We are also very excited to have Thor return as the title sponsor of this event for the second straight year. Their motto is "we support the sport" and we certainly appreciate the support they provide this event."
While Thor MX Rewind has plenty of racing for everyone, the off track festivities continue once racing ends. Over ten racing legends from the motocross and off-road world are expected, while autographs and one-one-one bench racing take place all weekend. Group pictures and selfies are encouraged! The highlight of the off-the-track celebration is Saturday night's Gathering of Legends which begins with dinner, then bench racing along with stories, some tall tales, and plenty of laughs.
Additionally, there is a swap meet, vendor and display areas, and Unadilla archive area running throughout the weekend.
