Murrieta, CA – KTM Motorsports is excited to announce Cody Webb as the newest member of the FMF KTM Factory Racing Team.
KTM inked a two-year deal with the reigning AMA EnduroCross Champion to race on the FMF KTM Factory Racing Team for the 2016 and 2017 racing season. Webb will race aboard a KTM 250 XC-F motorcycle for the North America-based EnduroCross Series. In addition, Webb will also compete in the world-wide Super Enduro Series as well as select extreme races across the globe.
"We feel that Cody will be a huge asset to our factory team," stated FMF KTM Factory Racing team manager Antti Kallonen. "He has proven himself over the past few years of racing and we feel he will represent us well in all extreme races as well as the EnduroCross series and X Games event."
Webb has raced under the RPM KTM support team umbrella for the past season, where he is currently leading the EnduroCross series point standings. "It was always our intention to groom Cody on that team and move him up to the factory team when ready," remarked Kallonen. "The RPM KTM Team and those of us at the factory feel that the timing is right. They have had a great season together and we are very proud of the success the RPM KTM Team has accomplished this year with Cody at the helm."
Webb remarked, "I'm very excited about becoming a member of the FMF KTM Factory Racing Team. It has been my dream since I first started racing EnduroCross to be on the elite team and with the KTM family. I know that with the experience of the successful race team my results will improve and I can strive for more championships."
