Red Bull KTM’s Roger Decoster has overcome many daunting challenges in his storied career on and off the bike, but few thought he would help resurrect the once fledgling Austrian brand so quickly, if ever. We thoroughly enjoy catching up with “The Man” and have a lot of ground to cover tonight with two SX championships now in the rear view mirror and the outdoors quickly approaching.
Smartop/Motoconcepts’ Mike Alessi and his team have just announced a unique racing schedule for the summer that includes the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, GP’s and Canadian Nationals. They want to represent and promote their team and sponsor products to a worldwide audience while racking up one billion frequent flyer miles. That is probably the single greatest thing about having your own team at the end of the day—you get to do whatever you want. We’ll catch up with Mike tonight before he heads out for the first stop on their world tour in Great Britain.
GEICO Honda’s Matt Bisceglia certainly had his share of adversity this season, but we sure were glad to see that big smile and epic mustache finally on the podium in Vegas. We wanted to make sure to give him some love after a long SX season as the boys of summer soon start over at Hangtown.
