Alessi (Shoulder) Out for Utah

SPOKANE, WA – An unfortunate turn of events have ascended upon Smartop by MotoConcepts rider Mike Alessi. Sadly, Alessi, and several others, were involved in an intensive first turn crash last weekend at Unadilla causing an injury to his right shoulder. Earlier this week, Alessi went in for an MRI which confirmed multiple edemas, deep tissue bruising, to his shoulder that have hindered his strength and ability to be 100 percent healthy for the race this weekend in Salt Lake City. As a safety precaution, Alessi will forgo the races this weekend to recover and will return for the final round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in Lake Elsinore, California. He will be recuperating and putting in a full effort this next week up at his compound in Victorville, California for the conclusion of the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
