Dedicated Athletics Seattle Report
Seattle, WA- Supercross headed to the great north west for round #15 of Monster Energy Supercross. Dedicated rider Vince Friese #42 was back racing in the 450 class as the west coast rounds resumed. Killy Rusk #66 looked forward to racing again at round #7 of the 250SX West Region after the long layoff. Both riders looked good in qualifying with Friese qualifying 16th overall in the 450's and Rusk qualifying 20th overall in the 250s.
In their heat races, Friese got a good start and ran with the best supercorss riders in the world finishing fifth. Rusk went from 10th to 8th place on the last lap to qualify for his second main event of the season.
In the main 450 main event, Friese got a great start and found himself in fifth place as the race began. Friese rode hard for the 20 laps and finished solidly in 11th place. Despite only racing in the 450 class at the west coast rounds, Friese finds himself 19th overall in points. In the 250 main event, Rusk was near the back of the pack as the riders came around the first turn. Rusk charged hard for 15 laps finishing respectfully in 13th. Both riders look forward to earning more championship points next weekend in Salt Lake City Utah.
