Earlier this season Troy Lee Designs jumped in with the “Stimilon Hates Your Face” promotion (again we want to reassure everyone that no one actually hates your face…). Now TLD has stepped back in to up the anti yet again.
Troy Lee Designs will award a brand new set of gear to the rider who races the Stimilon Motocross Challenge in the “most outrageous outfit”. When asked to elaborate, TLD’s John Barry explained, “Someone could race in 20 year old mismatched gear with holes in it, or a superhero outfit, or a Viking costume, or whatever. This event has always been about fun so we wanted to pour a little fuel on this fire – no pun intended…”
So there you have it. TLD is throwing down for the average guy – something anyone has a chance to win. The rules are you have to race in your get up for the day – no one lap heros allowed. So plan wisely. Also all normal equipment requirements are in effect like any other race – helmet, goggles, gloves, MX boots, pants (so racing in your speedo, although outrageous, will not be allowed), etc. And yes we had to spell out the speedo restriction – have you seen the photos?
This contest is FREE to enter for all who race the event. No need to register, we will know who you are.
The Stimilon Motocross Challenge is held at MX338 – the Southwick National Track in Massachusetts - May 24-26, Memorial Day Weekend. Pre Registration has begun and classes are limited to 40 per gate and then closed. Several classes are already half full so don’t wait. Spectators, paparazzi, and ladies who bring the hotness are always welcome.
