Reed//M. Stewart//DC//Beams on DMXS Radio Tonight
September 21, 2011 3:05pm
Our sport has many reasons to be a fan, but I find myself more compelled lately by the stories when the helmets come off. We’ve had some great plotlines and drama unfold this year and none more satisfying than to see Chad Reed once again ascend to his rightful place among the sport’s elite. He believed in himself when many in the industry failed to and started his own team and launched the season that solidified his place in the hearts of fans around the globe. Reedy topped of this pivotal year in his career as part of the first ever Team Australia podium at the MXdN last week. We look forward to catching up tonight as Two Two Motorsports looks to 2012.
ARMA Energy / Suzuki City’s Malcolm Stewart took home the 2011 AMA Rookie of the Year to cap off his solid year. While that honor is a nice recognition to his efforts this year, you can bet he’s looking for some different hardware at next year’s banquet. We’ll get him off his bike just long enough for this interview as he’s busy testing for supercross already.
Racer X’s Davey Coombs was in France for the historic MXdN battle and will give us his take on the week’s racing and festivities. We’ll also put a final wrap-up on the outdoor season, see what’s in the works for next year, and get the latest on silly-season.
Coach Robb Beams is our walking training encyclopedia (a book people used before Google and Wikipedia) and he’s going to be on to talk fitness and detail his 2012 MotoE sponsorship opportunities for amateur riders. With sponsorship dollars continuing to dry up it’s great to see MotoE stepping up to offer some big time dollars to our sport. Please spread the word to any and all riders to submit their resumes by October 17. You can contact him directly at Robb3@earthlink.net with questions, or go to www.completeracingsolutions.com for information on their programs.
Don’t forget to call into our toll-free DMXS Vent Line at 1-855-HEY-DMXS to get that burning question or comment about motocross or whatever off your chest. The most relevant and original submissions will be played back on future shows for everyone to enjoy….. so get to dialing!
We want to welcome on GoPro cameras as a new show sponsor. The world’s best selling HD wearable camera for sports, including badass motocross. Check them out at www.gopro.com for all your action packed video needs.
DMXS Radio also thanks our wives, Racer X, MX Sports, OGIO, Concept2Rowers, Coach Robb Beams, MotoSport.com, Vurb Moto and Skull Candy for their continued support.
