  • Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Wrap-Up
FARMINGDALE, NJ –Bel-Ray Company, Inc. – The World Motocross and American Motocross seasons' both concluded this past weekend in Fermo, Italy and California, USA respectively.

The Pala Raceway in Pala, CA hosted the final round of the AMA National Series. TwoTwo Motorsports/Bel-Ray Racing’s Chad Reed locked up 3rd place in the series coming into Pala and hoped to go out with a strong finish.  At the first moto, a first turn crash erased those hopes, but the crowd favorite Reed rebounded with a strong ride coming back from 40th place all the way to 12th by the moto's end. Moto 2 saw Reed at the front early, but he went down and could only manage a 4th place finish in the 2nd moto. Reed’s 12-4 moto finishes gave him 7th overall for the day and 3rd overall for the season. Another Bel-Ray racer in action this weekend was Fredrik Noren of the MX Heaven racing team. The popular Swedish rider finished 17-18 for 18th overall at Pala and finished the 12 race series in 26th place.

Fermo, Italy was not kind to Bel-Ray backed TM Factory racer Tanel Leok. His moto finishes of 13-28 for 12th for the day were not the way he had hoped to end the season. At the end of the long championship series Leok was 12th overall.

The motocross season winds down this upcoming weekend as the world’s best racers converge on the Saint Jean d’Angely circuit in France for the Motocross of Nations. Four Bel-Ray backed racers are scheduled to compete on behalf of their respective countries. Chad Reed/Australia, Tanel Leok/Estonia, Fredrik Noren/Sweden and Petr Smitka/Czech Republic are all representing their homeland in this “Olympics of Motocross”.
