• RedBud is the site of the largest obstacle in American Motocross. LaRocco's Leap, named for former championship rider and local hero Mike LaRocco, is a 120-foot uphill triple jump. The iconic obstacle celebrates 20 years of existence this weekend.
• RedBud has hosted a national during the 4^th of July holiday weekend since 1978.
• Ryan Dungey's 450 Class win at Thunder Valley was the 11^th of his career, putting him into a tie with Mike LaRocco and Gary Jones for 11^th all-time.
• With a runner-up finish at Thunder Valley, Ryan Villopoto has finished on the podium in six of his seven career starts.
• Three overall victories this season have been decided by a second moto tiebreaker - Chad Reed at Hangtown and Budds Creek, and Ryan Dungey at Thunder Valley.
• Thunder Valley marked the first time in 2011 that Chad Reed did not win the second moto.
• Chad Reed and Ryan Villopoto are the only two riders in either class to finish on the overall podium at each round.
• The points lead in the 250 Class has changed hands three times this season amongst three riders - Dean Wilson, Tyla Rattray and Blake Baggett.
• Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki has won every 250 Class moto and overall of the 2011 season.

450 Class Stats

• The first Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship race held at RedBud was July 28th, 1974. Kenny Zahrt won on a Bultaco, marking the last AMA Motocross win for that manufacturer.
• This race marks the 31^st time the gate will drop at RedBud for a Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship premier class race.
• Marty Tripes won his last Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship race at RedBud in 1979.
• Jeff Ward won at RedBud on 125cc, 250cc, and 500cc bikes.
• In 30 years, only one international rider has won the premier class at RedBud - Sebastien Tortelli in 2000.
• With three 250 Class wins, Ryan Villopoto is undefeated at RedBud. Saturday will mark his 450 Class debut at the track. He will look to become the sixth rider in history to win in both classes at RedBud.
