Ian Trettel Benefit Ride Day at Pala Raceway, April 23, 2011
Riverside, CA - On Saturday, March 5th 2011, Rockstar Energy Suzuki rider Ian Trettel sustained a head injury during practice at the AMA Supercross event in Daytona Beach. Trettel, a rising rookie, drafted from the amateur Suzuki team had finished 5th in his Supercross Pro Debut this year.
The Hewitt family and Jonney Louch along with close friends to the Trettel family have come together to organize a ride day to help Ian and his family with medical and future rehabilitation cost. Ian is continuing to make progress daily and with the support of the motocross community we can help him get to the next level of his recovery, which is rehabilitation.
The ride day is at Pala Raceway, Saturday April 23, 2011, from 10am to 3pm. No membership is required and the admission is $25 for riders and $10 for spectators. There will be a huge raffle, silent auction, Dash for Cash Race and a mini pit bike race with all proceeds going to Ian. Supercross riders such as Hansen, Tickle, Baggett, Wilson, Craig, Baker, Seeley,
Simmonds, Langston, Millsaps, Davalos, Morais, Hewitt, Evans, Cunningham, Paluzzi and "factory" Phil Lawrence, just to name a few, will be on hand to meet and greet all of the riders and spectators.
We encourage you to spread the word and come out to help raise money for Ian. If you have any items you would like to donate for the raffle, the silent auction or if you are a vendor wanting to come out and show your support, please contact one of the following:
