TUF Racing Puts Two on the Box in Louisville
It was a good night for TUF Racing as both our riders made the podium. Gibson grabbed the Holeshot in the main only to be surprised by a block pass by Davenport in the second turn. A few turns later Gibson passed Davenport back for the lead and led for the first half of the race until Bowers got by him. “I was just got a little tight out there tonight and started to make some mistakes,” said Gibson. “Now the pressure is on Bowers and I can’t wait until Reno next week.”
The story of the night had to be Siebler. After getting pushed wide on the hole shot Cole went to work and made his way up to fourth, only to stall his bike making the pass on Davenport for third on lap eleven. The TUF Honda rider quickly restarted and only managed to lose two spots. He wasted no time getting back to work as he pushed his way up to third and set his sights on Gibson. He made quick work of Gibson and started reeling Bowers in but ran out of time. “Cole definitely has been the fastest rider on the track the last two weeks and if he keeps it up could be a factor in the championship by the end of the season” said his mechanic Tracin Seng.
The riders are looking forward to next week in Reno Nevada as it is the largest track of the season and with their extensive supercross experience feel that they will have the edge.
